First off, sorry not posting at all last week, homework and a new project for a fundraiser consumed my week.
But as I was going through the week I noticed something, on the back of
my dried fruit bag and my parents bag of pistachios... they will have a
saying that they are heart healthy or approved through the American
Heart Association. I think that's awesome! I'm also not saying you
should walk through the store looking at the back of every product put I
can't stress enough to look at the American Heart Association Website
about a good diet and what to get at the store.
REMINDER: Feb. 3rd, it National Wear Red Day! I'm going to be wearing Red for my Grandma. Who will you wear red for? Even it's for no one you know, do it for a fight to find a cure and get awareness out there.
Also, I'll be putting my team to walk this week (I hope), so keep those fundraising ideas coming :)!
I think it is great that food labels are doing this! With the American Heart Association putting their name and logo on it you know you can trust it.
ReplyDeleteDo you know when the race for the cure is? A few friends and I are interested in doing it. I'm sorry I missed the fundraiser, I'll be watching for the next event!
ReplyDeleteThe next event for the fire station is going to be t-shirt sales... which they were suppose to start doing that on Monday! And race for the cure is in May. Not sure on the exact date but I can find out for you. I know it's close to the same day for the American Heart Ass. Walk of Southeastern Michigan!
